MassDevelopment and MITRE created the Mass Innovation Bridge. MassDevelopment is the state's quasi-governmental economic development and finance agency. MITRE is a not-for-profit organization, chartered to work in the public interest, that operates research and development centers sponsored by the federal government.

Located in downtown Boston, the MIB is a state-of-the-art facility designed for collaborating, brainstorming, planning, and evaluating

. The MIB also hosts workshops, fora, and networking events at the CIC for participants interested in advancing their knowledge and learning how to work with the federal government.
